Austin Trapeze Circus Performance Workshop

This sounds like so much fun (wish I was feeling better).... Austin Trapeze is doing a 6 week performance workshop ending with a show on May 29th. The workshop meets twice a week starting on April 22, 2010. Even though I can't attend the workshop, I'm very excited to see circus events like this happening in Austin. Yay! I definitely plan on attending the show and taking pictures (if allowed). Here's a link for those that want more information: www.trapezeaustin.com/workshop

I'm still editing photos from NAIGC Nationals last weekend. I'll put some on this blog soon. In the meantime, I am putting a few up on my flickr account: www.flickr.com/flipimages. NAIGC Nationals was a fun, high-energy level meet. I was surprised at the number of competitors there, I guess I didn't realize there were so many college clubs now. It's great to see so much participation and great skills in college club gymnastics. It's improved so much from when I was in college, a long time ago (in a galaxy far far away) :-)

Why does everything happen in the same weekend?

Sometimes I scour the paper looking for photo opportunities and/or things to do but in this case there are too many at once! Here's what's happening this weekend:

1. NAIGC Nationals at Texas State University in San Marcos April 8-10.
2. McCallum Fine Arts Academy is doing their spring performance on April 9-10. The aerial dance is called "Around the Bend" and was created with the help of Blue Lapis Light. More information is available at www.BlueLapisLight.org
3. Cedar Park is having a Heritage Festival on Saturday April 10th. According to the schedule in the Chronicle, two gymnastics schools are doing perfomances: Capital Gymnastics and Zero Gravity Gymnastics and Cheer.

It's going to be tough to choose!
